I have the Conti ContiTouring Contact all season, original tires. They're good tires -- quiet, good handling in dry and wet. They generally last ~15k-25k mi, depending on your driving style. Tirerack sells them for $172 ea. I also need new tires for my car. I'm thinking of trying out the Conti ExtrmeContact DW, $125 (245/45R17) from Tirerack. Since it does not snow in my area, high performance summer tires are what I need. The DWS model is the all season. I've also run Kumho (both all season & summmer) and Michelin Primacy and Sport. Both Michelin Primacy and Sport are better tires, in terms of traction in dry & wet and handling around corners -- very sticky tires, than the other tires I've mentioned above. If you don't mind spending more money, Michelin is the way to go. I haven't tried out the Toyos before, so can't comment on the difference.
