Proper tire size and comfort question

We just bought an 05 E320 and would like to upgrade the rims. Can someone please comment on ride comfort? We are looking at 18s or 19s but want the ride to be as soft and quiet as possible. Also, what tire sizes will wok properly? Thanks in advance.

i'd go with 18's.

If you go 19's, standard tire sizes are 245/35 and 275/30.
