I have to admit that the 09 W211s are very sporty in white. Or maybe, the FL designed to appeal to a younger demographic...
It seems to me that many of the younger buyers prefer lighter color vs traditional MB buyers. They tend to prefer conservative colors in the MB lineup, like the black and silver. These two are the main usual suspects, nothing wrong with either one of them imo! Then, for those who prefer some changes, flint/indium grey or white will come into play!

In socal (specifically OC) white seems to be the predominant color for W211, closely followed by black. In my building there are 4 white W211's in my parking garage alone (3 of them 2009's)... on 1 level (probably more on the other 2 levels but I haven't driven around to check).

The popularity of the color white has something to do with that! The newer MB cars, with especially 07 and up w211s wear alot of white paint than any previous generations or older MB cars in the 90s, at least from my unscientific observation!

When I was looking for my CPO, it was all silver, black, and white - mostly silver. Of course, the color wasn't the most important part for me after I fell in love with the AMG kit, so I would have gotten her in any color as long as the AMG kit was there.

94 E320 and 06 E350 4matic
I had a 06 black on black with tint and after spending 2 weeks out west and down throughout Texas in August I lost my comfort level for the combination. HOT-HOT-HOT. I got rid of it and got a white with black interior with tint. This one has pano roof. Very classy looking and I get compliments anywhere I go. Wifey likes it much better and gives me a mental lift when I jump in it over the black color.
