Rear Hatch is Stuck on my E320 Wagon!
2004 E320 Wagon I purchased new has had very few problems... until now. I can hear the closing mechanism operating - it sounds normal. The hatch seems to be stuck, it won't open more than just enough to make the rear lights come on. I can click it to fully closed by mashing it with my foot, just to keep the warning light off on the dash.
There is no dealership in my city, I use a shop that specializes in MB service. They said they saw no way to get into the mechanism, with the hatch closed. Does anyone have any advice - preferably a solution that would keep me from having to travel to another city to visit a dealer.
Otherwise - I love this car.
