Intermittent bad idle in D e270 cdi

hey guys my e 270 cdi sometimes starts to go up and down in revs.
It go's up and down about 50 rpm's, only when standing still on the brakes and in D.

If i switch it to N it inmidietly stops.
Switching back to D starts it again.

You guys have any idee what this could be?

Thinking old school on this one my best guess is torque converter.

well if it is the torque converter why does it do this only every now and then?
Maybe i should try an oil flush.
