front air shocks stuck in "up" position..

i have '05 E500 with shocks in front stuck in "up" position and will not go down. back is fine. failure is just go to service with the vehicle rise symbol. the "fix" i got was below, but i need to know what actually to get from the mercedes dealer. can anyone help please?

The most common failure is broken wiring at the air suspension compressor which is located in the drivers side wheel well area under the plastic paneling in the wheel well.

The wheel well sits to close to the wiring for the exhaust valve in the compressor, then the air builds up lifting the vehicle like this and cannot exhaust it out to lower the vehicle.

This is a very common failure and I believe this is most likely what you have at fault here.

The correction for this problem is to replace the wiring and connector for the air compressor. You have to purchase these parts from a dealer in order to complete the repair.

I remember seeing a post stating it was a severed wire in the exact area (drivers side wheel well) that causes this issue.

Reconnect (splice, solder, etc.) the broken wire and you should be good to go.
