if the sunroof or any window is open when i park, i always use the tunnel function to close everything.

i would like a button to open everything as once too. i think bmw had an all open express on the convertibles.

Actually, it will open "everything" if the car is locked and all the windows and sunroof are closed. Just hold down the open button for a short time and they all open.

First...you have to be fairly close. It works best on the drivers side of the car. I have used mine on the other but often will not work.

1. To close all windows and sunroof...aim at door and hold close button. Mine takes a while to work...others have posted that it about 3 seconds.

2. To open all the above....hold the open button in the same way.
Mine will not work if any windows or skylight is already open.

Ed

note: I have not heard it called "tunnel function" before. Where did that come from? ....or are we talking about something different?

yeah I just looked it up on the net (didn't save the URL though) and it said that the tunnel option can be used to close all the windows and sunroof with one touch of a circulation button (my guess it's the one that is used to either take the air from the outside or the inside of the car). I'll definitely try that on the way from work.

yea, while drving, to close all of the windows, and sunroof, you either hold down the air circ. button, or the charcoal air filter. from the outside of the car, you aim your remaote at the little black box on your car, to open or close all the windows, by holding the unlock or lock button

I use it. It is very helpful when you have all your windows open and it starts raining. PITA to hold every button including the sunroof using both your hands, so just hold the one tunnel mode button (aka recirculate-air button) and it closes all windows open.

tunnel mode

Very helpful in hot climates. Remotely open all windows and roof when approaching car and activate tunnel mode after engine starts.
