Deals on '03 E320s
I am looking at getting an '03 E320 to replace my '98 E320. I went to the dealership on Saturday.
I asked what kind of discounts they had on cars on the lot, and the man pulled up on the comptuer the supposed "invoice" and on an '03 Black / Black with heated seats, sound/moonroof package and cd player he told me about $49,000.
I don't have the exact #s because they are at my office. At any rate, that includes transport / advertising fees. Do I have to pay the advertising fee? I thought that was negotiable.
For a lease, I came out with around $694 (after tax in PA). That was after extra $1,000 off coupon I have since Mercedes sent one for having a ML.
Can I do better?

What price?
Hey i was just wondering how much did everyone here get off of their total MSRP. and i mean for an ordered car, not one of the lot. i only got bout $800 off my car , i was just wondering to see if i could or should get a better deal. thanks for any comments

Go to www.kbb.com and you can look up the invoice price for your car. That doesn't sound like such a great deal, especially with the $1000 coupon. The lease price also sounds high given what others have posted.

The "advertising" is a dealer council fee where the local dealers pay for local ads and MB hits them for a portion of US ads. It's real money out of their pocket so it represents a real cost to the dealer.

1000 off ml coupon applies to other vehicles?
Mat5555 - My $1000 off ML coupon only mentioned it could be used to buy another ML. Can the dealer actually use it to get $1000 off on any new Mercedes or is your dealer simply offering you a $1000 discount on the E as a courtesy with the change coming out of his own pocket?

where are you people finding these coupons and how can i get one. Is it only if you decided to buy your old MB or can i get it even if I had leased it. thank you for any comments.

2003 E320
I bought my 2003 E320 for $800 over cost. You compute cost by taking the MSRP, subtracting 7% (MBZ markup), then adding destination and advertising (wasn't negotiable).
I got this deal through the Internet Manager at my dealer. I negotiated most of it over the Internet. I knew exactly what I wanted so they didn't need to spend much time with me.

E500 sport pricing
Just bought E500 Sport, E2 for $500.00 below invoice. Deals are out there but require a lot of negotiating between dealers. I was told if I was buying a non-sport model I could have had a larger discount.

$1K coupon -- E320 price
We got the coupon 2-3 weeks ago. Don't know who else received it, but most of people who own or lease an M class got one.
Regarding the price, I was offered invoice + 250. Could have negotiated harder.

We have 9% tax on leases in PA.
My final price range is 650-675 a month, 39 months, 0 down, 15k a year through MBUSA.
I belive it will be the upper range, at $675. I tried to get a silver (or another lighter color, but the old lady shot that idea down real fast, so black again it is for me)

Silver is a pretty color, but it's become too popular. I don't like having a color that is so common. Reason I went black on the C230 was to save the $$ on metallic paint. Plus, I've always kind of wanted a black car!
