New to the Board...........
Hey everyone! I fairly new to the board, just joined a few weeks ago.
I've had my car since the second week they were released. I've experienced several of the problems that most of you have or are experiencing. and they have all seemed to be fixed.
I love the new Eclass and think that it is worlds apart from the last version, I'm sure you will agree.
I have recently began doing modifications to it. Here is the list so far:
1) Lorinser RS6 wheels (20x9 front & 20x10 rear)
2) replaced hood orniment with the flat one
3) replaced the grill with the CL grill
4) addition of Alpine Navigation system
5) addition of Alpine 7" wide screen LCD (dash mounted)
6) single disc DVD player (glove box mounted)
No, modification to the existing HK sound system, head unit, dash etc... all that needed to be done to the dash to accomidate the monitor bracket was a minor cut of the center speaker cover, unoticible once the braket is in place. (I will post pics of the NAV, DVD & Monitor in the next few days)
Will be adding the Lorinser rear window & trunk spoiler & tint in the next 2-3 weeks. (when done i will add pics). After that i will be looking to add the Lorinser body kit excluding the front fender mods. When i do the body kit i will also do the Lorinser Exhaust?
Are there any member or planned events in the NJ, NY, CT, PA areas basically the north east? NJ specifically?

My 2003 e500 was delivered to the dealer yesterday and was shipped to CEC in Jersey to do the full Lorinser kit that you want to do,everything but the fender cuts.I will let you know how it turns out and post pics when its done.Saw pics of your car on benzworld, real sweet ride bro.I don't know how your surviving all these potholes in Jersey with 20's,but in NY I had to do the 19's,just to keep it safe hehe.This is a great board,enjoy......

e500lorinser: if you dont mind me asking what is the price they gave you before and after painting and installation. I was getting qoutes for $6700 to $7600 for everything but the front fenders. Full kit with exhausts.
What rims do you have. you are right about the 20". i'm now very carefull and aware of the road. What color is your car? I get alot of looks with the new mods........especially the 20's and the grill. When you get the full kit it's gonna look really good!
Actually, i have a friend that runs a shop and he has a white e500, panoramic roof with the full lorinser kit, including the front fenders. He also has 20" chrome Lowenharts with the spinner adapters. looks really good but just not into chrome. I will try and get pics and post them.
Do you live in the NY/NJ area?
As for the question about what went wrong, i can remember 3 thing that alot of people seemed to be having:
1) SRS malfunction on the computer screen
2) radio cutting out
3) SOS malfunction
4) oil indicator on computer kept reading oil level too high
All were fixed after visiting the workshop and letting them know what the problems were.

I got a white e500 with chrome RS6 19/8.5" front.....19/9.5" rear.The pics of your friends car are posted somewhere in this forum,do a search for "chrome rims/white car" it was a recent thread.That car is sick,would love to see how it looks with the lowenharts. I did the vents on the kit white,just like his.I think it looks very hot this way instead of the chrome vents,which look better on a silver car like yours.I can't wait to pick it up,as white lorinsers are pretty rare and it will definetly turn heads.As far as price I worked something out with my dealer,and your figures are in the ballpark when you factor in rims/tires.Finally the weather here is getting nice,just in time to drive and keep driving,hehe.Im in NYC so we are neighbors,maybe we will run into each other on the road,take care brother........

you got that price with Rims..... what dealership did you get yours from? maybe i will go there or call my dealership. That price i said was with out rims and tires.
Not sure if my friends car is on the site, just cause he doesn't have a PC......(one of the few left in the world).
Your definnetly right though it will look hot......and we will probably run into each other soon..... I'm in the city all the time, especially at night.
maybe we should try and organize a gathering of E classes or MB somewhere. We can find a big parking lot or a park somewhere on a saturday or sunday. I ride a motorcycle also and we do this quite frequently. We can post something on the other Boards as well.
