Do Mercedes dealerships have most parts on hand?

I plan to take my car to the Mercedes dealership to have the passenger side front & rear seatbelt a replaced because they locked up in an accident, I also need my driver-side fog light, the fender painted (not primed, just painted), my engine coolant sensor re-programmed to make the fan stop going crazy, new brake pads, and a general service.

I drive a 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320.

Would they have these parts on hand? I plan on going to Caliber Motors of Anaheim Hills if that makes a difference.

Also, do they accept checks as a form of payment? Many places stopped accepting checks and idk why.

Thanks!

I would suggest that you call the parts dept first before you go there. The service dept would like you to go there whether they have the parts or not.

If I were you, I'd get a quote AND make sure they have the parts in stock before going. With a quote you can comparison shop a little bit. I'd also cross reference the cost with what a good Indy would charge... You don't want to take your car o the dealer without a cost estimate and end up with a $5K+ bill if you were not ready for that.

As a small business owner I can tell you that the only reason a business would stop accepting checks is if they had to deal with bounced checks (not fun to track down customers and make them pay). It is actually better for a business to get paid with checks (assuming they didn't bounce!) because they can save the 3-or-whatever% they have to pay in credit card fees so if they stop accepting checks they must have a very good reason for that...

Zach,
According to thier web site:
"Mercedes-Benz of Anaheim [aka Caliber Motors] is the Nations # 1 parts source for all Mercedes-Benz parts.
We carry over 13,000 parts at any one time ( $1-5 million value )."

And when I bought my car there they seemed very happy to take a check.
