Has anyone tried (or heard of someone) using a program called "
pocketlogger." It is something you can run on a Palm handheld and plug it into the OBD port and it records all sorts of data on your car. I didn't know if anyone has gotten it to work on a E class? It's almost $200 so I was curious before purchasing. Sounds like a neat tool. You can even then read the fault codes and reset the computer yourself.

i wouldn't plug anything into the OBD port except the Mercedes computer. We bought a code reader to read and reset some codes on a Ford, and we did something to cause the car to be unable to start. Luckily, we were able to use the same device to reset the system. Who knows what it could do to an MB.
