Foglight blowing (possible short) ?
I recently installed an E55 front bumper, which meant i had to replace the fog lights, anyway the new fogs took a 9006 bulb instead of the standard H7 or whatever it used to be. Anyway that was all good, i just purchased some Pigtails, cut off the old connectors, soldiered the new ones on, shrink wrapped and installed the new globes.
They were good for about a month, however now i keep getting a bulb out warning for the left foglight, i've replaced the bulb, however it doesn't seem to be the bulb, it seems to be the connector that's causing the issue as when i pull it out and put it back in again the bulb lights up.
I pulled it out again today and i found the pigtail connector to be slightly melted, so i don't really know what caused the issue.
Could it be that i have a short? Could there be an issue with the pigtail or something further up the line.
I'm just not sure as to where i should start looking for the issue. The right foglight works flawlessly with no issues at all :S
