Tire monitoring option

Those who have it, any problems that "we" should be made aware of?

Thumbs up

I have the monitor on the E500 and it is useful to be sure. The one problem/complaint I have is that I am agast in the motions I have to go thru on the steering wheel to find the damm thing.

I have since day one be getting malfunction warnings even though I keep 34 psi in all wheels. My guess is that the sensor is programmed to trigger if the settings are of + / - x psi from the factory settings. I was all set on my retrocar to pick up another forum members AMG wheels and tires.
Since he did not have the sensors the dealer told me it would run about $400. to take mine off and put them on his wheels plus they had never done it before.......scary...........

Derek.

All newer AMG wheels are "tire sensor" ready. Meaning the valve slot is angled for the tire sensors. If have this option and wanted to upgrade your wheels, you are pretty much limited to AMG wheels.

Hope this helps.
