Lightbulb should i purchase this 2004 e55 amg

Hey all check this out
I am currently thinking of getting this 2004 e55 Amg
There selling it to me for 18995
It has 102647 miles and the last service was done this June
The vin is. WDBUF76J04A499468
I need ppls opinion before i purchase.
Here is the idea
Selling my 04 clk500 and getting a daily driver car. Paided off
so just incase anything happens I have a car to drive lol
Then having the e55 as my toy

Blunt sarcasm is welcomed lol

A high mileage E55 at a non-MB dealer.......no way. They claim that all services have been complete: How did they come by this knowledge? Do they offer any warranty? An aftermarket will run $5-6K for this car......but most warranties won't touch it b/c of mileage. Rims look hideous....are they even staggered. Tires are as cheap as you can get.
All in all, I paid around that much for an 05 with 40K less miles.

I would steer clear of that dealer. I spoke to a budy who is stationed at Ft. Bliss, and he did not have a stellar review of it. After closer inspection of their website, I see that they specialize in first time buyers and Military Financing. In all of my years in the military, I have yet to find a dealer close to post, who specialized in those "services" who is reputable. Those dealers tend to pay bottom dollar for their cars (and many have issues), and make large profits.

While I see no issue buying from a used car dealership, for most cars; I would stick with a Manufacturer Dealer on higher end cars. At a minimum, a used lot that deals mainly in high end vehicles. But, if you chose to go with this car, get it checked out by a MB Service Center or Indy MB Mechanic. These cars can have several little problems that can break a budget, such as the fuel leak and airmatic failure. So, an "as is" car may end up costing you $$$, as service is not cheap.

No, mine was a bit more $ than that, but less mileage.
