Scedule B maintenace and paint job
Hi Again,
Maybe someone can help:
have 2003 e500-e2-e3-keyless=black obsidian
a) I have my first service appt "schedule B" what does this entail?
Just Oil Change or???????
and and $ out of my pocket? Car has 10k miles
b) Paint Job: someone scraped my front bumper donw to clear-cloat-
would u use mercedes to paint it or a great body shop=
same with little chips=
would use use touch up or have them do it
tks as always

b) An idiot ran into me at a stop light. He had a piece of metal welded to his front bumper for towing
The MB dealer recommended a local body shop and there made it as good as new. The dealer does not do any paint or body work.
The cost was about $630.00

Anything called for on the FSS is free, and the letters (service codes A through H) simply establish the time allocated for the service by MB. From the W-211 e-learning: "Service codes are used for estimating time ONLY. They do NOT indicate the same service items for each code. Service items are determined by time and driving conditions."

I think that must be right. I did not have a "A" service, just the "B" at about 12,000 miles. I think that the computer judges the type of service according to the type of driving you are doing. Most of mine was Highway driving.
