Hood leveled off

Hey guys,

I noticed that my hood is leveled off, there's a gap on the left side that's much larger than on the right side. Looks like it's sort of open. I recently shut the hood pretty hard after showing the engine to my friends. Maybe something was displaced as a result of that? Because I accidently shut the hood hard? Or maybe it was a factory defect, not sure. Anyone had that? I'm affraid that maybe the hood itself sort of bended after I shut it hard... I was looking at the locks and whether I could balance them to be higher or lower but it doesn't seem like they can be balanced. What do you think? Seen that before?

wow, that doesnt look good. i think it is a defected hood, i remember when we got our prenav car, i opened the hood, and closed it after looking at the engine, i didnt close it hard enough, and when we started to drive, i thought it wasnt closed, so i would try to close it again, just put a little bit more pressure on the right side, i push hard to close the hood properly, just make sure nothing is broken before, nothing worse than a hood hitting the engine or something GL with it man, hopefully the hood isnt bent or anything

hmm, after looking at the last two pics, i do think that theright side isnt closed all the way, and hopefully thats your problem, because hopefully it will close if you give it a little bit more pressure, i would try to compare it with my car, but right now the dealer is fixing a little problem with it, GL

I did push the right side harder... It looks like it is closed, just the level is off... I hope my friends would never ask me to show the engine to them so I wouldn't even open the hood... But it's just not right even if I shut it harder than usual...

Have your dealer look at it. The level of the hood is adjustable on both sides.

i had the same issue a few months ago. there is a leveler that can be adjusted on both side. you will see them when you have the hood up. i didn't go to the dealer and adjusted myself. you may want to try that first.

regards
