2003 E500 W211 dipstick/measuring stick & oil capacity

ok,

Ive done a fair bit of searching but nothing definitive as how to read this tool for my particular car.. anyone know what are the readings are im looking for when using a mb part # 120 589 07 21 00 on a 2003 E500 W211? Im preparing to do an oil change and would like to have an extra bit of piece of mind there is adequate oil in before/after I run her. Getting ready to try out my new MityVac MV7201

Also my manual says 8 qts but ive seen alot of posts saying that it is really 8.5 qt/8 L..

thanks for the help guys!!!

I have the fleece filter and all the other goodies but the oil, Most of it came with the car but the dipstick I still dont have any idea how to use without some sort of specified level for my specific car, i know it fits a bunch of other vehicles.. Wally world has the best prices btw for anyone looking for mobil 1 0w40.. .. 24$ for a 5 qt jug..

If you have a dip change the oil / filter add 8 qts run check for leaks wait 15 min then use your dip stick and verify the full level.

Shop tool is same for all engines, but the levels corresponding to each of them are different. It is useful if trying to determent oil consumption but for oil change I will simply extract all the oil and fill accordingly. My car takes 8 quarts (7.5 liters) and after 11500 miles this year I extracted 7.3 liters, and is been this way ever since I start doing my oil changes four years ago.
