2017 E400 Wagon Black/Black MB Tex P1 & Sport Wheel Package
2011 Wagon - Pro's/Con's (replacing a 2004)

Hello -

Our 2004 E320 wagon that we love is now in need of about about $4K of work (front strut leaking, rear hatch lock assembly, rear brake pads, oil change and 4 new tires). At a point where we are thinking if we should put this money into the car and get another year hopefully without anything major or if it is time to trade.

Hard to find pre-owned CPO wagons with low mileage but dealer just got a 2011 with with 16,000 miles. Not my dream car in terms of color or options but we got lucky with our '04. The '11 was placed in service 12/10 so with CPO runs for another 2 years. We do not put a lot of mileage on our cars but can buy additional 2 year warranty.

It came with P01 premium package, wood/leather steering wheel, rear side airbags. panorama sunroof, rear seat entertainment system & driver assistance package.

They are asking $46K and offering $7K in trade.

Thoughts on this deal and any major pitfalls on the '11 wagons?

Was also looking at a new '14 Volvo XC70 T6 AWD Platinum with nag, etc that I can get for about $47K plus the 3 years maintenance & wear/tear.

We have owned a few Volvo wagons in past and have been happy with the (albeit not apples to apples).

Hard to decide what to do so appreciate the opinions of this group. Hate the idea of a car payment again but also getting tired of the unknown with a 10 year old car.

Thanks.
