E500 air suspension wont raise after lower control replacement.

Hi so I have a 03 e500 and a few days ago I replaced the front lower control arm. Didn't touch the shocks or any part related to the air suspension. When i lowered the car back down, I got the "stop, car too low" message. When I did the job I did it with the car running because it was so cold out. Maybe that may have something to do with it. It's all four wheels and I worked on the front so I am confused. Any body have any idea what it could be?

There should be a arm connected to send feedback to the system for height position. Was it disconnected? is it connected? Is the air strut un plugged?
Is it all 4 wheels or just the one worked on. :nix:

Yea the arms are untouched. I checked those. And it is all four.

How does leaving the car running help with the cold unless you are sitting in it? Running it on a lift is probably at the root of your issue here. Was the suspension compressor running the whole time it was on the lift?

I did it on a driveway with just the front jacked up and the engine heat helped a lil with the cold in 20 degree weather I don't know if having the car running made the compressor constantly trying to lower it. But I didn't hear anything and I was right under the car the whole time.

Do you hear air leaking out of it when you get in and start the engine?

Otherwise you will have to check for no power to the airmatic pump / relay. Under the left front fender inner liner.

It was fixed with a Reset with the STAR
