Lowest cost mufflers Alternatives

Hi guys and gals, I have a 04 mercedes e500 , and would love to have a little more sport rumble sound when i start her up and when i am at cruising speed. I would like something that does not sound cheesy like a riser and would like something to keep my inside cab nice and quite. Any recommendations, cost, local install here in Sacramento surrounding areas, and brand name. Thank you all

Remus and only Remus will do what you seek. No drone and nice bit not too loud sound.

Magnaflow is known to drone on a mercedes. Either Remus, or don't touch it.

If you spent a second looking at my walkthrough you would see I custom fabricated a Helmholtz resonator to get rid of the droning frequencies. It really doesn't drone at all and it sounds amazing. With any exhaust modification you have to get used to the new sound but after a few days of driving anything you could even remotely interpret as drone is completely un-noticeable. You can barely hear the muffler delete with music going on full throttle inside the car. On the outside it's a completely different story . Other alternative is getting C63 mufflers, those things sound like thunder stock.

It all depends on who is willing to sell and how much you're willing to pay for it. I've seen them for as low as $450 or even as high at 800-1000+. I purchased mine almost new in 2012 for roughly $650 shipped. I absolutely do not regret buying them. It initially felt pricey but the sound you get from these will definitely justify your purchase

I also experimented with some $70 magnaflows prior to c63 mufflers and it sounded much like an old american v8 truck. It was okay but too much drone and WOT sounded terrible especially from inside the cabin. Didn't sound like a mercedes to me so I eventually dumped it.

Okay, so I took your advice and found a guy selling these on ebay, and guess what! He lives in Sacramento, roughly 20 miles from me. but I want to make sure these work as they are from a 08 C63, he is selling everything in the pic. Please advise.

Yes those mufflers will work, but you will need a new rear diffuser as they are quad tips. The price is a bit on the higher end but c63 mufflers aren't very common on the market. I have no idea why those tips are all black either..looks dirty. You could try to talk him down on price as the mufflers don't look like they're in the best condition, plus you're saving him a lot of work as you're local.

As for the front bumper, it will fit. That's also pretty cheap for an oem bumper. If you're going to paint it then those scratches and scuffs shouldn't be a problem. You'll just need to buy some new foglights, those mesh grills, those covers you're missing, some new inner reinforcement pieces, new front grill, and maybe a few more I might have missed. It also has parking sensor holes which you might or might not have.
Then again you could just get a nice aftermarket bumper from Gary@Suvneer. Those are awesome.

Yes he is a sponsor here and yes he sells a complete E63 conversion kit. I took advantage on an insurance claim and purchased my kit from him. $1000 or $1100 and you get front bumper, fog lights, the mesh grills, rear bumpers, rear diffuser, and side skirts.

Here is the info from his sig.
