Turn Signal Flasher Relay

Hi, where is the flasher relay located on our cars?

I'm trying to replace it with one from here

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/vehicle/2008-mercedes%20benz-e%20class-with%20halogen%20capsule%20headlamps-installation+accessories/37-464-50-528376/

So that I can use LEDs without having to add resistors.

Thanks!

Our cars are too high-tech for simple solutions.

2010 GLK350 4matic
Hello,

I am also looking to the LED flasher relay on my car and cannot find it, however my car is a 2010 GLK350 4matic. The Flasher started working and not working and flickering for some time and now it doesn't work. I took the cover off and tested it with 12 volts. it works. so the LED are good. I can't locate the Relay which sounds to be the problem. If anyone knows where I can find it or which one it is. That would be great.

A little off-topic, but seems the various models within the same or close generations are very similar for a technical sense.

Lots of shared parts and technology.

Absolutely. I'm sure someone that's a Mercedes technician such as Otto will confirm this, but among similar year/generation cars you see very similar failure patterns from vehicle to vehicle, not surprised. A lot of the parts are the same and they therefore have the same technical characteristics and failure patterns.

I have always thought that it would be so cool, if a forum system allowed linking by subtopic within posts.
As an example, so all discussion of some particular aspect of the M642 engine would be in one thread no matter which car it was in, while all discussion of some particular suspension issue would be similarly grouped.

When the hell is Artificial Intelligence actually going to do something useful like that?

Wouldn't even take artificial intelligence, just some smart search and sort algorithms to aggregate everything in one place. Like a suggested thread system but smarter. They use similar technology for TV shows like The Daily Show or Colbert Report actually. They have a service called SnapStream that acts like an intelligent DVR to find footage or transcribed audio that matches up and sorts similar names, topics, graphics, etc. It just takes someone to code a forum CMS to do that. I would but I'm a bit busy with ray tracing off geometric primitives experiments hahaha just kidding.
