SBC Pump
Ok guys it's time to replace the SBC pump again; only this time dealer told that the 10 year warranty expired on Feb. 25th so it's on me. So far ECS Tuning has the best price on a remanufactured unit.
Pump number showing for my 2004 E500 is 00843138128070. Dealer say pump no. is 009431261288.
Dealer is wants 1600.00 for the pump ETC 1049.00 - 162.00 core charge total 887.00 Anybody know the difference between these two pumps?

SBC was replaced 3 years ago. January 2013 took to the dealer because of white brake warning, they flashed an update. Last week warning came on again this time the SBC exceeded the threshold and need to be replaced but warranty expired on February 25 2014

exceeded the threshold in 3 yrs time? as far as I know, the threshold is a myth. even if it was real, Ive read somewhere about 200,000 depresses on the brake pedal before the SBC pump gives. evrything breaks eventually especially if you dont look after it.

Besides the depressing of the brake and the threshold means (not sure what that means) how else do you know its going out? When I start my car and first press my brake i usually hear a humming and a very minor vibration throughout brake pedal. Figured it was

I connected my SDS is telling it has exceeded the threshold. Took it to dealer told me the same. They said the pump had been updated once before and needed to be replaced. I'll try and play with the adaptations within SDS see if I can figure it out, otherwise is a new pump.
