Engine Oil Cooler

Hi all my E320 (W211 series) petrol driven had oil in the water bottle. Having just replaced the radiator, I suspected it was transmission oil passing into the water. The agents suspected it was the head gasket. I changed both head gaskets and engineered the heads. Oil is still visible in the bottle. Now I am told it might be the engine oil cooler. I cannot find the location. It is not mounted on the oil filter housing. Please help. Thanks Raj

Transmission oil in the radiator is a very common problem. Can you have the coolant tested for glycol?

Radiator only 5 months old. Agents claim nothing wrong with radiator

The coolant is very likely to contain glycol...

You should have the engine and transmission oil checked for glycol. Drain or extract some oil and inspect for unusual color or odor. Milky color oil likely indicates you have coolant in the oil.
