The paint code is also located on a sticker on the underside of the hood. Open the hood and look at the upper-left side. You should see a sticker with the German word "lack" followed by a 3-digit paint code. A letter "C" before the number indicates you have the hard ceramic clear coat.

My guess is pewter, but the VIN is the only way to go.
I went to the dealer once and asked the parts counter for some iridium silver touch-up, and they made me give them the vin to look up the proper paint - iridium silver.
