Matching resistor spark plugs and wires?

I have researched the forum on changing plugs and wires but still have a question unanswered. I don't even know if it is an issue at all but thought I'd ask as I did not see it addressed so far.

If one replaces the original non-resistor plugs to resistor plugs (if I understand correctly necessary because the former are not made any more) do I need to change wires to match the resistor plugs?

Somewhere I read the original wires have resistors in them -- not sure if that is accurate -- but it made me wonder if it is important to match plug to wire. Ie, even if the old wires seem fine, are there newer wires better designed to work with resistors style plugs? I searched the forum but did not see a thread that dealt with this question of matching plugs to wire when changing to resistor plugs specifically.

Not interested in tuning or specialty wires so much as oem spec equipment of the closest match available. Thanks.

???????????? I used NGK in mine for 125000 miles and only changed at 80,000. Put back in OEM plugs, Why change wires if they aren't broken?
