Clunk..........

Ok it just started about 2 weeks ago... I think it is coming from the front the wife says from the rear. I wear hearing aids so can't say I am right. Anyway, sometimes not all the time, when I turn left there is a CLUNK, sounds kind of like something fell over. It stops after just 1 CLUNK. Then everything is good again until the next time is happens, could be a bunch of left turns before it happens again. The ride is smooth, no pulling to any side, stops with out any noise.... I have looked nothing in the truck that is falling over, don't see anything under the hood that is loose. it is an E350/2006 NOT MATIC, with 77K miles..... you thoughts please.

Thanks.

Have your wife check the front wheel bearings and also make sure there are no beer bottles rolling around in the trunk!!

Loose ball joint or sway bar. Check those. Probably not a strut if you have airmatic.

Not airmatic

Check the Sway Bar links and Ball joints

I just had the same issue (sorta). Clunking sounds from the front.

We had it adjusted at a Dr. Benz. It was the sway bar links. Tightened up. Great again.

Seems that it was the right front wheel bearings replaced and the clunking seems to have stopped
