07 E350 320 rear clicking and squeak noise
 

Firstly Hi to all the members as this is my first post.

I have a E350 estate not long had the car and it has a low speed clicking noise which from outside is a squeaking noise which comes from the rear. It is very annoying but dies down when the speed picks up.

There is nothing felt through steering or gearbox just the rattle/click and the squeek. Brakes all seem fine the car was serviced in June by MB.

If anyone has had a similar problem or know`s what the cause may be I would be very grateful for some friendly, knowledgeable advice.

Sounds like it is drive shaft a sort of pinking noise and a squeek, you can blip the throttle and create the pinking noise.

The car was on the ramp and the noise is coming from the centre piece of the drive/prop shaft so it seems like a bearing has gone.
