e500 Starts up, stumbles, dies

i have an o3 e500 and today for the first time when I got home from work, ran inside came back out 15 mins later and the car started right up but stumbled for 2-3 secs and then would die. Now it does it everytime I try to start. No CELS ither.

This ios the first time I had this problem. The car has 176k on it but runs great before this.. Any suggestions?

You will have to run codes. New sensor doesn't mean it is good. After the sensor sends a signal to the computer the engine is turning the fuel pump is sent a signal to stay on. IF the signal is lost the fuel pump will shut off. The relay to turn/off the fuel pump may also be bad. The fuel pump could be bad as well as the fuel pressure regulator. Lots of pieces so you will have to pull codes.

I had the car scanned with star and no faults came up at all. Sprayed starting fluid in the intake and it started right up but died. So it's a fuel issue.

Switched out the FP relay with another relay and nothing so I figured it was the fuel pump so I went to local junk yard and replaced the FP and still didn't start up. I should have checked for power first at the pump. What a waste of time.

So does anyone have any ideas what can cause this. It's driving me insane.

You've answered your question. It is a fuel issue. Pump and relay didn't fix it. So how about the other logic items in the system. You will have to find out all the inputs and check each one. If you spray fluid in the intake and it starts you know it's fuel.

Did you check F004 (20A) Fuel pump fuse.

Did you ever resolve your no start issue?
