LA autoshow
BUT the E looked awesome. the had the platinum one on display. AND everyone wanted to sit inside. They also had a demo of the dynamic seats.
Renntech also had a display with a modded E55, new compressor and body kit. Looked pretty nice. The guy gave me a personal tour and I took lot of pics. I will post next weekend when I get a minute.
Brabus was snobby to everyone as usual. I though they would have their 6.1 car there but I didn't see it.
I don't understand why we don't get the E500 Estate with rwd. I saw TONS of MBs in L.A. and there is obviously a BIG demand for them in California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida which usually have little to no snow every year except for the mountains.
The CLS looks like a mini Maybach and is a joke. Why can't MB just make a coupe and convertible based on the E Class like the W124? The CLK is just not regal enough to compete with the 6 Series. By the way, the 330Ci performance pack is also a joke. 8 to 10 grand more gets you an M3 with huge performance and lots of nice features.
The best car I saw there was a tie between the new Aston Martin DB9 and the Porsche Carrera GT.
In the aftermarket section, I saw two new Rolls-Royces with 22 or so inch wheels. I asked one man if it still had a nice ride quality that it is meant to have and he said something like "oh ya, it has a good ride." Ya RIGHT!
I can't count the number of cars I saw driving around L.A. with big cheap wheels. Excuse me, the 90s called and they want their chrome wheels back...now!

)I think you'll find more hummers in LA than wagons.
As per the comments on the trunk, whatever the reason, the sedan's trunk flies open way too fast. And I've seen the operation of the power trunk closer, and that is also very abrupt. If you press the inside button to close the trunk, it immediately starts to close, and quick.
