So far, though, the standard feature list seems really nice. Standard Keyless Go style starter, Xenon's, LED taillights, and what I'm sure will be a far superior nav than our system in the W211.

Took an FX45 for a drive the other day. Best sounding exhaust note on a stocker. Damn near as fast as my car! So many great performance choices out there now. Must....keep....wallet...in....pocket......

firebolt thought GS copied E65 (7 series) without the ugly "butt"

I still think that old GS copied W210 head lights and I hope lexus can come out its own styles in the future.
I don't think it looks anything like the butt ugly 7 series. To read some of the comments are laughable. Here's a kicker, they actually think iDrive is better than a touchscreen. What a bunch of losers.
on bmw's, turning on the sports mode changes the transmission to hold higher rpms for more power and down shifts the transmission rapidly when braking to stop quicker. our e holds the rpms in a sportier mode only when you drive the car very aggressively.
with more software in cars...computer user unique settings and interface are a must...and i'm sure the auto makers will drag it out for years to come.
but the e is my first car that's has more user preferences that you can set by key...so we'll get it more and more on future models.

What is more unsafe, entering an address by picking letters using a scroll wheel (iDrive) or just typing in on a virtual keyboard on a touchscreen?
touch screen is good but voice activation is the next wave. (mb electronics is behind.)
Am I the only one thinking that the new GS's front is a copy of the new BMW 6?
You probably are.
