There are release tabs on the left and right side of the cushions. When you open the back door keep a close eye on where the cushion joins to the carpeted wall along the outside corner of the seat. There is a small plastic release there. Hit that release button and lift up. Don't be shy, it will likely be tight. That's not to say rip it out like a Hulk, but just give it some good steady pressure as you lift up and you should feel that side release. Once you've released one side, go to the other side and find the same plastic release. Hit the button and lift up until it is free, and at that point you should be able to lift the entire seat cushion out of the car.

When it comes time to unscrew the cap from the fuel filter, if you don't have a fuel filter wrench, it can be a challenge. When I did mine, I butted up a flat head screwdriver against the plastic and tapped with a hammer until it rotated and I was able to unscrew by hand. It chews up the plastic a bit, but no damage that can't be handled.

Good luck!
