Ok lets see what your fuel millage on your E550's city and hwy.
So far after owning my E550 I am at 19 city have not been on the hwy yet only put 35 miles total since i bought it last week my Lincoln town car gives me about the same and 25 hwy ..post em' up :) Attachment 390292 Attachment 390293 Attachment 390294 Attachment 390295 |
So far I get 19 city and a little over 24 highway, if I behave. :-)
If not, then highway is 22 to 23. Less than 2,000 miles total, so highway will probably go up a bit over time. Then again, I really don't care what the gas mileage is. It's just a really fun car to drive. |

15.9 - 16.0 average over the last 19k - 20k miles.
|
I average about 15.8 in mine with 75% city driving. I did make a long trip to GA (17 hour drive) and averaged 23 mpg on that trip.
|
I will let you know mine when I drive the E550 Coupe Home from Florida Friday, and my plan is not to behave, can't help it, the car looks like a mini rocket, after having 5 Jags really looking forward to the Benz experience

It really is, ample power/torque on tap. I can only imagine how much fun AMGs' are.
nice pick up OP |
Lol Silver E550 a 2010 which is a w212 but has the same motor with different transmission so I can understand if he gets similar mpg.
But PaulE550 has a 2015 which has a far more advanced twin turbo v8 so I don't think we can really relate to his numbers there.. |
I'm getting about 22mpg mixed

I just remembered that I have not reset my trip meter since I bought the car. So posted below were my current trip to work which is about 50/50 city/highway and then is posted the average over the 7633 miles I have had the car. Mine is a 4matic as well and driven spirited more often then not :-)
|
Best Case Scenario: 18mpg city / 27mpg highway
How I Usually Drive: 14mpg city / 18mpg highway Mixed over the last 20,000 miles: 14.8 mpg combined *EDITED* |
27.4 average MPG
My 550 is a daily commuter which routinely cracks off 29-30 mpg each way (31.5 high). This helps my all around which is at 27.4 for the last 10,000+ miles. It was at 27.3 before I reset at 25,000 miles so I guess it's still breaking in :). I still get 3-4 good flogs in a day and I love to manually shift (wish there were paddles). The car has 170,000 miles so I'm in the market but I don't know what other vehicle has this balance of performance, luxury, and fuel economy.
