I'm wondering what the best options would be to subtly increase rumble without getting raspy. And absolutely no drone. Increase things a little, while still keeping things respectful when picking up my kid from school. Kind of along the lines of a V-8 non M BMW, like a 550 kind of sound. I've been looking at the muffler delete/J-pipe threads, or C63 exhaust but worried either might be too much.

Trust me.. a c63 exhaust is well worth the money. Quiet in the low rpms and very sweet sounding when you step on it. I have absolutely no drone on my 550 with c63 exhausts, but i have a 7 speed and I'm only running at 1900 rpm at 75mph.

Another option could possibly be messing with e-cutouts/butterfly valves. You have a remote that opens or closes the valve as you please, which means stock quiet when closed, nice and loud when open.

Thanks. I think I need to hear them in person to make the call. Both the J-pipe and C63 exhaust sound so loud in the videos, but it is a bad representation of how it sounds in person. The e-cutouts/butterfly valves sounds fascinating. Would you do a J-pipe with it, or not?

I'm not sure if a j-pipe would be very effective since it would probably be installed after where the cutouts are located.

Do you have any other exhaust mods (res or cat deleted etc) or just the C63 exhaust? Is there any chance I could give it a listen some time I'm in your area?
