What's This Plastic Thing?

I found this plastic thing under my passenger seat as I was vacuuming the car. I don't know what it is or if it even belongs to the car. Can you tell?

Plastic thing?

It looks like a faucet to sink gasket.

It's your engine. I am so sorry.

But in all reality I don't think it belongs to the car. It actually does look like some kind of gasket for a faucet or sink, my second best guess would maybe be a wire management for something under the seat, but I've never looked under the seat... Looks foreign

The bait is not working, until I've figured out what that plastic thing is. They just won't bite!

I'll put ten bucks on "it's a sink faucet gasket" please.

What's that writing on it? "ROB"? & "RON"? I bet the faucet install instructions refer to those for hooking up the hot and cold water lines.

It is not, this is hard plastic and too thick & rigid to be a gasket, as thick as a nickel. Writing says "FRONT" by each opening.

OK, if nobody could recognize it as belonging to car, maybe it's just debris from previous owner.

Its a plastic thing a ma jig.

Can't tell from the size but it looks like something form the homelink buttons on your mirror. Not sure how that would fall out though (unless someone was doing a repair and lost it)

What's the size of this thing? If it's 4 inches from the center of the left hole to the center of the right hole, it's a bath faucet to sink gasket.

Now that's the first idea that sounds feasible for an actual part of the car.... unless that white gunk is calcium buildup... in which case it's a faucet gasket again.

:rolf:

scale? How big is it?

AMGAffalterbach 05-24-2015 08:14 PM

google image reverse search it lol

Stuttgarten 05-26-2015 03:50 PM

I placed it next to my bathroom faucet and it's about the same size at the base. That build up is probably calcium gunk. So, I say those who suggested it being a faucet gasket are right on. Best news is that it's not a part that came out of car. Now, I believe the previous owner may have just dropped it and forgot all about it.

THE END!
