I want my E500 to be louder
Hey guys I'm on my first Merc and I've already removed the large resonator in the exhaust system and she's still not loud enough... I don't want it to scream I just want that signature Mercedes throaty/dirty noise that the 6.3 litre makes..
How can I go about doing this for a reasonable price without inserting my credit cards into the dashboard? And get the sound I want? |
Step one drive to dealer
Step two trade in e500 Step three buy c,e,gect 63 Step four be happy as hell!! If that doesn't work for you search on here for exhaust mods its been done many times on here as the e500 is 10+ years old now! |
Mines 12 years old, well next year I'm buying a W212 E63 but I still want a throaty noise until then
|
next year im buying a bugatti but until then, ill get a microphone, amplifier and a loud speaker and point it on my muffler!
|
What I would do is search and see what the e500 sounds like with the e55 or 63 muffler.
The eisenmann race exhaust I heard a few years ago sounded awesome but might be a tad to loud and get annoying on road trips. But I believe they have a sport version that is not as crazy. |
E55 mufflers are a bit quiet imo. C63s are one of the best sounding mufflers AMG made coupled with the V8 AMG engine of course. if you can find a set get that. otherwise, its hard to replicate the sound of a 63 without the actual engine.

When I had my C55 all I did was remove the resonator and secondary cats and it was the best sounding car I have ever owned.
Is the E500 exhaust the same setup? I know mufflers will be different. I have not crawled inder my car yet to check. On the C55 I had dyno proven hp and tq gains. |
