Airmatic Visit Workshop
So people i need some technial advise.
I have this W211 E500 2003.
Its been for a while saying "visit workshop" with the car and arrow. So i took it to the dealer. They found out that there was a problem with the Y53/1 and Y53/1y1 and that i had to change the "shock absorber" rear left. So they did and the error just wont go away. I have changed all 4 airmatic springs and strut with arnott 4-5 years ago so i dont think they are the ones causing the problem. I have also no problem with raising and lowering the car. Tried to reset the error code with star diagnose and checked all the fuses. no problem. I also took off the tyre to check if the cables had any cracks or visible problems but they did not. Could it be a problem with the connector i can see on the strut with 3 pins? or a broken cable somewhere? Thanks

i see what you mean but i only had them use star diagnose and i changed the absorber myself, or my nephew who is a car mechanic.
i can always send the car back but they will charge me for another check and i rather try something myself first.

I Connected the car again today With star diagnose to see if anything had changed. it gave me 3 suggestions where i should meassure voltage and ohm. in other Words i couldnt figure it out. i think i have a broken cable somewhere from spring. is there any common Place where the cables seem to break off? i tried to look but i couldnt find anything. Also we could not delete the error because it couldnt Connect With the part or something.
