Re-use new valve cover gasket?

Hi guys, did the valve cover gasket on the wife's E320 wagon this weekend. Billowing smoke at startup told me something wasn't right. Checked the bolts and sure enough, the right rear bolt is broken.

But my question is, do I need to get a new gasket again, since the car ran for 5 minutes? Or can I just get that bolt out, wipe off the gasket and put it all back together?

Thanks much!!!

I would buy a new gasket myself - but if you chose to reuse there shouldn't be a huge concern.

If there was no sealant used then chances are you are good to go. If you used some sort of sealant you will need to replace the gasket.
