Staggered Wheels The "Math" / Best Tire 18" Rims (8.5"F 9.5"R ET 32F/35R)

While driving in Michigan and apparently hitting every pot hole / crater in the state I managed to crack two rims! So after lurking on many MB threads I decided to research the 4Matic staggered wheel option in detail. So for the past week I have researche almost every major tire manufacturer and tire spec available. In addition I went to four tire retailers and measured unmounted tire circumference for as many tires as possible. (245/40/18 and 275/35/18)

Tire Size = 275/35/18
Using the formulas
C=2πr d=2r (25.6 Diameter) 275/35/18

Solving for
C=2πr d=2πr·25.6≈80.42477 (Circumference) = Rev Per Mile = 787.8176
Contact Mechanics / Load Deformation of Tire = .03%
787.8176 * 1.03 = 811.45 Revs Per Mile

And the Winner is with 0.9961 = .0039 thousands of an inch:

"General G-Max AS-03" - this tire seems to be a decent tire at a decent price! Remember this is just the math and not opinion!
