SRS Red Light / IC ?
Had the red SRS: Restraint System Inoperative message come up a few times, but it always went away after stopping and restarting the car.
Just brought it into the stealership to get the ole B service done since it wanted it and I want to get ready for winter.....
and the SA tells me that the SRS has stored codes that reveal a problem with the Entire Instrument Cluster, and wants me to pay him 2K to replace the whole thing, "or else the airbags won't work"!
I'm having a difficult time believing that a display unit would prevent the airbags from deploying in an accident.
Anyone here know anything that might back up the stealership's story?
