Check Coolant Level Warning
I have a W211 E550 and have a "check coolant level" warning. I checked the coolant level and it is full.
Any other reason that may cause the coolant level to be low? I read on other Mercedes models that it can be low washer fluid, washer fluid sensor went bad, or coolant sensor went back.
How difficult would it be to replace one of those sensors?
Thanks!

W211 has separate circuits and I just had washer fluid warning that went away after adding fluid.
Is the warning consistent? Meaning happen every time you restart the car, even in the middle of a day?
I would add a cup of distillate water just to make sure it is bad sensor or real low level.

Cool. That knocked 2 things off the list (washer fluid and washer fluid sensor).
I just added some distilled water yesterday and the sensor is still on.
The only option is to buy a new sensor? Does Mercedes sell the sensor itself or do I have to buy the whole reservoir?

I believe the sensor is off when closed. So pull the plug and put jumper on it.
See if the light goes off. If it does, that confirms sensor, if not, you have some connection problem.
$21.95 for OEM part or $16 for aftermarket.
