tire/wheel recommendations 07 E350 Sport
So, time for new rears on the 18" stock staggered rims. Our roads are so bad here in the Bay Area I would consider changing to 17s for a more forgiving ride. Has anyone done that w/the sport pkg? Never having seen that not sure how it would look. 18s look good with the slightly lower stock ride ht...especially with the wide rears. Might be crazy for even thinking it. Not into modding or making a major investment. Daily driver we intend to keep.
Alternatively just replace the tires. Appears best options to be Continental DWS06 (on there now) or the new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3+.
Most important are dry and wet grip, noise and comfort.
Any thoughts? Excuse the newbie questions. Not well versed in tire/wheel

With wheels/tires you always have to compromise.
I had our 2 W211s on all sizes. From factory 16" to Loriser 18" and 17" in the middle. (right now have 4.5 sets of wheels for 2 cars)
The wagon with rear air was good on 18", but Bluetec even on factory 16" feels pretty bumpy on Bay Area roads.
Michelin are good and long lasting tires for dry weather, but they usually suck in slippery condition. For my ski trips I loved Firehawks.
