E500 Anybody bother with engine mods on these things?
That about says it. I'm used to driving an AMG, just a few more beans would be much appreciated in this thing.

With MB it is very easy.
1. sell E500 2. buy E55 3. ENJOY |
Ha Ha, that would certainly do the trick. This was my practical choice for a winter car. AWD, easy on the wallet, cheap to maintain (comparatively) and it's loaded with all the same features... except one, it's a little light on go. It isn't really slow, but another 50hp would really help.

I was wondering the same. Has anyone here played around with their E500?

At $15k I rather just sell the E500 and get an E55.

Wow, I was thinking more like throttle body and a tune.

Just don't do it, for a naturally aspirated engine there's not much you can do. I bought a eurocharged tune for my 550 for $400 a long time back, can't even tell the difference anymore. The only mods for our cars are really only cosmetic upgrades.
