New E500 Order
I placed an order today for a new E500. The dealer took my deposit to guarentee my place in line. The dealer says that he will have the Ordering Guide in 3-4 weeks and then we can Spec the car. He didn't think that the In-Dash Cd Changer and the Xenon lights would be standard on the U.S. model. Has anyone else recieved any other information that may be accurate?
The dealer only had a few firm orders before mine and he thinks that he'll begin to recieve the first cars in August.

Dude, were are you located !!!! We have a year wait here down in Miami !!! To top it off, there are 4 dealerships less than seventy mile radius !!!! People are dropping some serious dogh just to get on the waiting list. I could not wait so I got an '02 CLK in the meantime. I'll place my order sometime late fall.

Just placed my order as well (E500)! Not too keen on buying a car that I haven't even seen up close or driven, however, the dealer did say that the deposit would be refundable in case for any reason that I did not like the car. However, it does put me on the list so that I can take early delivery in case I DO like the car, which I very much believe I will!
Now I guess I should tell my wife!

I placed an order on the W211 as well (E320 4 matic - maybe the E500 4matic (if it won't be too much after the E320's production).
My dealer says the regular E320's will be in June or July for me to look at and test drive in the showroom, customers should start having their cars delievered by August, September.
The 4matic in Toronto, Canada will be marketed in March of 2003 ready to be delievered August, September of 2003.

new to this but placed an order for e500 in ct and told car will be here in Sept/OCT.Dealer accepted order for Panarama roof and told me that navigation will be dvd at that time.Contour seats,cd playerNo colors or trim officially announced as yet.

E320's may be in the showroom (hopefully by mid-june) And I believe in the next 3 -4 weeks, the dealers will have the spec guides/prices on the cars and options.
