"KEY NOT ROCONIGZED"
I posted this on another thread but this is where I should be. I have a 2003 E500. I bought this off of a friend and I'm trying to get everything back in order with it. I noticed when I got it that the key fob batteries were dead so I put new batteries in it Duracell 2025. The buttons on the remote work fine but the keyless go system will not work. An error on the dash comes up with key not recognized. When I put the key in the ignition it works perfectly fine. When I take the key out of the ignition it automatically says key not recognized. None of the buttons on the outside of the car will work either even with the fob right up to the door.
