Heated front seats retrofit

Hi all,
I have just purchased a W211 2004 E320 CDi.
This is a New Zealand new car, but it does not have the heated front seats option.
Does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit heated seats in a non heated seats car.
I can buy a good set of heated seats, and the switches for the dash panel.
My question is, is the wiring likely to be in the loom, or are looms “made to order” for each car?
Cheers,
Graeme

Under the seats it seems the same looms per se.. there's many connections available for this extra options, I think you'll need seat, center console button, and code in xentry central gateway.

Don't know the applicability for sure, but I retrofitted a W210 with heated seats. Mercedes (then at least) was unlike most manufacturers in that the heating elements are not separate items but rather built into the upholstery ... meaning the front seats were totally recovered with new upholstery sourced from Mercedes. Also required were at least two wiring harnesses, as connections were required at both a front fuse box and a fuse box under the rear seat. Of course a new strip of dash switches required as well. I believe at the time WIS had retrofit instructions.

I have not taken apart a w211 seat but have a w210. the heating elemen isnt actually a part of the seat material, it is glued to it and can be removed if you are careful.
