I bought the Icarsoft 980 to scan and clear the codes on my 2007 350. According to the scanner, everything is in the good shape and clear except this one area. Under "system diagnosis" it showed error code 930C = Knowledge base configuration incomplete. The code is "current and store".... which meant it still happening. My question is:
1. What does this error code mean?
2. What cause this code? which component missing/fail/malfunction that cause this code? or how to confirm the malfunction part??
3. How to fix this issue? replace, recode...etc...

Note that the car is running perfect and smooth, everything is working as it should.... I just want to fix everything, make sure everything is in order

Any input will be appreciated.

I would say the unit is telling you it does not have the latest data in the memory for your 2007 W211. If you look at their website, it shows they support W211 model with V11.10 Diagnostic List through build date 05/2006. You can always contact their technical support and then post the answer direct from them.

wow... it totally makes sense. Thank you for the idea.... So this is the scanner limitation, not the car itself!? Good to know.... I should have posted this question long ago..... I regularly updated the scanner. The scanner actually support up to w212 and up... dont know why it doesnt have the complete data base for the w211!!

@ nguyenphananh , just wondering if you figure out what that code mean? I have a 2008 E350 and engine light on, the MB II scanner shows 930C. I already updated the scanner to the most current version and no luck in finding out.

Hi, I was never able to fix mine. But from my research, it was the car's software issue!! Our car need to be updated. Many members here have DAS and proper tools.... updated the software on the car and fixed that problem (I think it may be a communication issue/protocal in the software). On the other hand, you have check engine light on... that is another serious issue you need to figure out... dont be strange in the middle of nowhere!! Good luck
