Sorry "kyye" and "yxc145", but US cars are not equipped with DVD players, so this is a "European thing" only. Unless you ask MBenzNL to install a Euro COMAND.....

Oslo... I'm getting my upgrade on Wednesday, My dealer Bertel O Steen, Lillestrøm has finally gotten the upgrade CD, from Autostern!!
I'm really looking forward to it! Just one question...I'm using iTunes/iPod and I've imported all music in Apple's AAC format...Do I have to convert these to MP3?

Hi there!

Yes. I know Autostern ordered two sets.

Tell them that the first (and probably second) attempt will result in errors. Just try again, and they will succeed in the end. Also tell them to keep the engine running during the update.

I'm also using Itunes to store my collection. You will have to convert them to MP3 format. There is no way the COMAND will play AAC.

My dealer has just said that he now has the upgrade cd for comand. Hoping to have it upgraded on Tuesday and hopefully that will sort out my mp3 problems.

And my dealer received the "Service CD" Tuesday, but they need to do a formal install and check. Had to make an apointment next Friday...

Didn't really know that they had to hook up their diagnostic-equiptment for a "Comand APS" update.

But anyways, I may have my built in MP3-player @ Friday
