Could be the cam magnets or crankshaft position sensors. What's the actual codes? You might also have him actually look at the balance shafts or do some of the other checks in those various youtube videos. It could be something else like a stretched chain. The 2008's had the updated balance shaft and not too many have had that problem outside of the range mentioned.

What is your vin? It's possible the issue could be the balance shaft depending on production date of engine. Like above said, what codes are being set? IF you haven't changed your oil in a while and it's dirty that as well can cause timing codes.

I'll grab the codes this evening, all I know is the code on the computer pulled up as balance shaft issue and to inspect it.. I did have all four magnets changed, havent worked on the CPS yet.

She definitely is due for an oil change, I'll get that done
