Buying high mileage 07 Bluetec
I am looking at buying a diesel for my daily (my 335 is getting too fast). I found a 07 W211 E320 Bluetec with about 170k miles. It has been well maintained, drove perfect and I did not notice any issues with shifting or cold start. I drove a few others already, even low mileage ones around 100k, this 170k one drove much better than them.
I want to get your guys opinion on purchasing such a high mileage car, we agreed on 6k Canadian, and that's about 4k cheaper than most that are posted here.
Thanks.

Great engines, but have few items that at this mileage might need to be adress:
-oil cooler
-intake flaps cleaning or replacing
-EGR cleaning
Those things don't take expensive parts, but lot of labor, so owners dump those cars to avoid it.
If you DIY, that is one badass diesel.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I posted in the diesel section as well but wasn't sure how active it was.
Yeah I'm hoping I can diy those things, and hopefully it won't need anything else. Luckily it doesn't have air ride so that's a plus

Actually I missed Airmatic when I choose diesel.
Even Las Vegas has good roads, we still make trips to California and comfort is important.
Some buyers who bought the car for 10% of its MSRP ***** about the maintenance cost, but I don't mind to spend money for luxury.
