Arrow 2008 Mercedes E350 Aux Problems

I recently purchased a 2008 Mercedes 350, which also known as W211. I am quite confused regarding the AUX input. I see there is one in the glove compartment, but when i try to connect an aux cable, with my samsung galaxy s9 there is no music coming out from the speaker. Please help me out what i should be doing in order for my aux to work.

While aux cable is plugged, go to COMAND and push "AUDIO" twice, which will bring another screen from which you select "AUX." You should be good to go!

The problem with the glovebox mount is that AUX cords can tend to break over the course of a few months. With that being said, make sure that the aux cord is firmly FIRMLY seated in the port. I have the same aux position, and you have to push it in until it clicks and you hear a noise come out of the speaker system. Make sure also that you haven't accidentally pressed the mute button, as that will keep the volume muted even if you turn the car on and off again.

Do you have an iPod connector in the glove box too?

You can only have the iPod connector or the AUX connector hooked up to the stereo, not both at the same time. You'll need to pull the stereo out, unplug the iPod connector and plug in the AUX one. It's pretty easy and should take less than 30 minutes to do. There are videos on YouTube showing how to remove the stereo.

I had that problem in my E63 when I got it. It took me way too long to figure out what the issue was.
